ToolRays is engineered with privacy as a fundamental principle. We minimize data collection to only what is strictly necessary to deliver fast, reliable web tools:
- Anonymous Usage Stats: Aggregate tool view counters to improve tool offerings.
- Preferences Cookies: A standard theme cookie (`theme`) to store your dark/light mode preference.
2. How Your Data Is Handled
When you convert images, edit photos, merge PDFs, or format JSON on ToolRays, the computation occurs directly inside your web browser using modern Web APIs (HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly, and JavaScript). Your source files are never uploaded or stored on any external server.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies exclusively for user interface preferences (such as light or dark theme). We do not use persistent tracking cookies or cross-site tracking scripts.
4. Third-Party Services
ToolRays may utilize standard CDN providers for hosting static font and library assets. These assets are fetched standard HTTP requests and do not receive any user-generated data.
